A Tile Story

The owners of this home in Phoenix were preparing for the event of their lives. Their only daughter was graduating from college with honors. They had decided to throw a party and invite all their friends and family to celebrate the important milestone. However, they soon realized that the floor in the room where the party would be held was not looking its best. That's when they decided to find experts in tile cleaning in Phoenix who could help them restore the floor before the big event.

They soon received a call from one of our representatives, who helped them schedule a time for our specialists to assess their floor.

Tiles with Dirty Faces

On the day of the evaluation, our tile cleaning specialists explained to the homeowners that the floor's grout lines were very dirty and the tiles had darkened over time. The dirt buildup was extremely evident because the space between the tiles was wider than usual.

Our specialists recommended a tile and grout cleaning and our color sealing procedure to improve the floor's overall look.

The homeowners were happy with the assessment and booked our next available appointment. They needed their floor cleaned as soon as possible because of the upcoming celebration.

The Tile Solution

On the day of the appointment, our specialists arrived on time and immediately got to work. First, they used masking tape to protect items that would likely be exposed to the products they would be using.

Then the crew began cleaning the tile with Sir Grout's tile and grout cleaner. They let the cleaner soak on the floor for a few minutes before using a high-speed, gentle scrubber to remove all the grime from the surface.

They needed to use a steam cleaner on the more stubborn dirt to make sure that it was completely removed from the tiles and grout lines.

After thoroughly cleaning the entire surface, they used a wet vacuum to remove any excess cleaner. When the area was dry, the cleaning specialists applied ColorSeal to all the grout lines.

ColorSeal is our proprietary grout sealant. It is a thick, acrylic-based, colored sealer that closes off the grout's pores and restores the color of your grout lines.

Once the sealant was applied to all the grout lines, the technicians used Tile Armor to give the grout an extra layer of protection against stains and spills. Tile Armor is nontoxic, water-based, and safe for the entire family—pets included.

A Tile to Remember

Once our technicians were done cleaning and sealing and had removed all the masking tape, they showed the clients the floor that they had been so concerned about.

When the couple saw the results, they could hardly believe their eyes. They thought that our tile and grout cleaning would just make their floor look slightly cleaner. Instead, their floor looked brand new.

They were very appreciative of our crew's work and said they couldn't be happier with their floor. They were excited to continue planning their daughter's party.

A Tile Education

Before our tile cleaning specialists left, they gave the clients some maintenance tips. They advised them to clean the floor right after right after the party because the floor would be subjected to an unusual amount of foot traffic and spills. We advised them to vacuum the area and then apply a pH-neutral, soapless cleaner, letting it soak for five minutes.

After the five minutes are up, they should mop the floor as usual, making sure that no remnants of dirty water or cleaner are left. The surface should be dried with a towel or terry cloth.

We recommended the same procedure for their cleaning routine. However, we advised against letting the cleaner soak for five minutes unless the floor is unusually soiled.

About two weeks later, we were surprised to receive an email from the couple. They wrote to tell us that their friends and family were amazed by how different and beautiful the floor looked. The couple also said the floor had made it through the party with flying colors. What's more, it still looked just like it did right after being cleaned by our technicians.
